Those riders who noticed were amazed to see Liverpool City Centre and waterfront from the race start line.. yes not only is the race about 30 miles in a straight line to Liverpool it is within 1.5 hours drive of over a third of the UK population, the bridge in the mid distance is the new Flintshire Bridge near Flint |

| Someone asked me who the two muppets sitting in the car at the finish line were, was it either Ernie and Bert or those two who sat in the box at the theatre? well no it's Chris and Lawrie who seem better described as magicians owing to their ability to pull bike races out of empty hats. Again thanks to all friends and helpers who made it possible for the event to happen.. did any one tell Bob, who was busy marshalling, the race had finished |
